Alhambra - Arabic Island on the Iberian Peninsula
If you ever spend holiday on the beaches of Costa del Sol and get fed up with lying on the hot sand, it must be the highest time to go for a trip to fairyland – Grenada. It is overlooked by the most beautiful monument of Moorish architecture in Europe – Alhambra.
Alhambra known also as the Red Palace, name taken from the colour of clay that it was built from, remains a symbol of excellence of Arabic architectural craft. It is difficult to say which part of the building is the must-see sight as most importantly you should choose it yourself, discover the secrets and beauty of the Red Castle away from crowds of tourists. You must observe attentively; a colonnade with arches mirrored in a blue sheet of swimming pool can stagger you as well as humming of water that makes you imagine it is one of the emir's wives rushing for a meeting with her husband, finally you may think someone tries to whisper to your ears a famous sentence: The worst thing in life is to be blind in Grenada.
